Two legacies. One future.

Hicksville is now a division of Interra Credit Union. Same offices, same people, same accounts — with a bigger cooperative behind them. Here's what that means for you over the next several months.

You are here
Now — spring 2027
The interim period

Hicksville runs on its own systems. Products stay available and new accounts are still opened here.

Upcoming
May–June 2027
Operational day one

Accounts convert to Interra systems over one weekend. New cards and logins arrive beforehand.

Upcoming
After conversion
One credit union

You bank at any of the 21 offices as a member-owner, with the full Interra product set.

What this means

Four things worth knowing.

1
Bank exactly as you do today

Your accounts, debit card, checks, online banking and loan payments all keep working the same way. Nothing changed at legal day one, and every future update comes with advance notice in writing.

2
Same offices, same faces

All four offices across northwest Ohio and northeast Indiana stay open, and the people you already bank with stay with them. Local decisions keep getting made locally.

3
You become an owner, not a customer

Interra is a member-owned cooperative. At the systems conversion in mid-2027, a $5 share account makes you a member-owner with a vote for the board — and no outside shareholders taking a cut.

4
More to bank with

Mobile deposit and card controls, 5,000+ shared branches nationwide, expanded mortgage, ag and business lending, and a treasury platform built for main-street companies.

Asked most often

Straight answers, no fine print.

These are the five we hear most. Thirty more are sorted by topic on the Q&A page.

No. There are no immediate changes to your accounts, services, or how you bank. Keep using your accounts as you do today; we will contact you directly, in writing, before anything changes.

Ownership. Hicksville is now a division of Interra Credit Union rather than an independent institution. Practically speaking that means new signage, a new name on your statements, and this website — your balances, card, checks and login all work exactly as they did the day before.

No. The offices and the people in them are a large part of what Interra was buying. All four locations stay open with the same team, and the relationship-driven approach both organizations are known for is the point of the deal.

At operational day one, expected around May or June 2027. That is when accounts convert to Interra systems, new cards and logins take over, and you become a member-owner. The full schedule is published at least 60 days in advance.

Interra is a not-for-profit financial cooperative owned by its members instead of shareholders. Earnings come back as better rates and fewer fees, and each member gets a vote for the volunteer board of directors.
