Everything customers have actually asked us, grouped by topic. If yours isn't here, call your office and ask for someone by name — that hasn't changed either.
You don't need to do anything right now. Nothing about your accounts changes until conversion in mid-2027, and we'll write to you well before it does.
What changed on day one, what did not, and what you should do about it.
No. There is nothing to sign, activate, move or update. Keep using your accounts, cards and online banking exactly as you do today. We will write to you directly, well in advance, before anything changes.
Ownership. Hicksville is now a division of Interra Credit Union rather than an independent institution. Practically speaking that means new signage, a new name on your statements, and this website — your accounts, balances, card, checks and login all work exactly as they did the day before.
Legal day one (October 30, 2026) is when ownership transferred. Operational day one — expected around May or June 2027 — is when accounts actually move onto Interra’s systems and you become a member-owner of the credit union. The months between are the interim period, and during that time Hicksville keeps running on its own systems.
During the interim period the division operates as Hicksville, a division of Interra Credit Union. It is the same team, the same offices and the same accounts — the name reflects the new ownership while the two organizations are still on separate systems.
At operational day one, expected in May or June 2027. A $5 share account is opened for you, which makes you a member-owner with a vote for the volunteer board of directors. There is nothing you need to do to make that happen.
Your Hicksville team is briefed on every step of this transition and can pull up your specific accounts.
